The European Technology Platform for the Future of Textiles and Clothing (Textile ETP) organises together with the European Platform for Sports and Innovation, the European Footwear Products and Processes Technology Platform and representatives of other design-based consumer goods sectors an international conference on visions and strategies for current and future European Consumer Goods research.
The event will take place on February 4th 2010 in Brussels (Hotel Bloom) and feature high-level speeches from industry innovation leaders including the industry chairmen of the 3 Technology Platforms and the Director for Industrial Technology of the European Commission's DG Research.
During the conference the major European research projects in the field will exhibit their current developments and elements for a strategic European Consumer Goods Research roadmap for thecoming years will be discussed.

5th Annual Public Conference of the European Technology Platform
Brussels, 24-25 March 2010
The 2010 edition of the Technology Platform will feature the national and regional dimension of textile research and innovation, showcasing the strategies and activities of national/regional platforms, clusters and networks from across Europe. It will be linked with the start of the ERA-Net project CrossTexNet which will work towards a better cross-border coordination of national & regional funding programmes for textile research & innovation in Europe.

Euratex, Brussels, September 9th, 2009
Took place during the last week in Brussels, namely at Euratex premises a meeting of the ETP Education Horizontal Task Group. Two Textranet members were present to specially discuss within this group, the implementation strategy for short training courses to Industry, to be developed under the scope of the European Technology Platform and in straight collaboration between Textranet, Autex and other relevant organizations in the field of textile & clothing research, education and technology transfer. Christoph Riethmüller (ITV Denkendorf) and Helder Rosendo (CITEVE) brought industry vision and needs to a very positive discussion which led to an action plan to be presented in the next textranet meeting in Budapest, by the end of September. |
